Note:  If you meet all of the other qualifications to be a licensed driver education teacher (DET) but do not have 9 semester hours of Driver and Traffic Safety Education, you can take the hours needed to qualify (i.e.  you are a driver education teacher who has received a license to teach driver education in previous years but need to take DE 2 or 3 to meet the current qualifications in statutes).  You can provide evidence of the driver education course(s) you previously passed (on an official transcript) to us and we will submit your official transcript along with proof of completion from our course to your state’s licensing division.  Check with your state’s driver education licensing agency first to assure that this process is acceptable for licensing purposes.
