Note: A total of 15 hours of Driver and Safety Education is required to receive a recommendation for a Supervising Teacher License.
(1) A licensed DET must take an additional six-semester hours of the supervising teacher development course to become a Supervising Teacher.
(2) A licensed TA-Full must take an additional six-semester hours of the supervising teacher development course to become a Supervising Teaching Assistant-Full.
This program is the ONLY online program in the State of Texas that can certify driving instructors.
